sometimes life gives you lemons, right???? you know how that goes---my sweet little girl was diagnosed with scoliosis and after 4 months of observation her curve progressed 5%.....so she now has to wear a brace about 14 hours a day in the hopes that we can stop the progression and prevent surgery. these things have come a long way since I was a kid, and we were able to get this design, hoping to make it a little easier on her. She doesn't have to wear it to school, but most of the rest of the day, and at night when her spine does the most growing. i keep teasing her telling her she looks kinda like lady gaga when she wears it. please send positive thoughts and prayers our way:)

Poor thing! That must be pretty tough, but hey, that is a pretty cool brace! Tell Hannah that she is definitely in our prayers. I know that is so hard, it is weird, you never think of it and all of a sudden in the last 3 months, she is the 2nd person I know who has had this. Well, keep us posted on her progression and tell "Lady Gaga" we are thinking about her :)
ReplyDeleteHi Hannah, it's your Uncle John. Hey that IS a stylin' brace, one of the girls I work with has scoliosis also and she is almost 50 and does real well. She exercises and stays in good shape and usually does not get bothered by it too much. I love you and you just keep plugging away and give Zach my love also!
